Depending on the rubber compound of forklift tires, the vehicle environment and driving habits, the service life of forklift tires will also vary.

Generally, forklift tires with a groove depth of less than 1.6 mm can no longer be used, because the drainage performance and puncture resistance of forklift tires will be greatly reduced at this time. In addition, if a forklift tire has been repaired three or four times, the forklift tire can be swapped to a non-drive or rear wheel to reduce the risk of a puncture.
The service life of forklift tires is different from the environment and usage methods of different use sites. The details are as follows:
1. Under certain load and driving environment conditions, the forklift tires have a suitable tire pressure. When the forklift tire pressure is higher than the standard value, the tire crown is grounded in the middle, and the contact area between the tire and the road surface is reduced. The load increases, and the wear of the middle of the crown increases. The cord of the tire is overstretched, causing the cord to break, resulting in an early tire blowout.
2. Under normal load and tire pressure, the increase in vehicle speed will cause the deformation frequency of the forklift tire, the vibration of the carcass, and the circumferential and lateral twisting deformation of the tire (forming static waves) to increase. Heat increases. The working performance of forklift tires decreases, and even ply rupture and tread peeling occur, which accelerates tire wear and damage.
3. Road conditions also have a great influence on the service life of the tire, which affects the friction between the tire and the ground and the dynamic load on the tire.
4. High temperature will reduce the breaking strength, elongation and hardness of the rubber, reduce the adhesion strength between the rubber and the cord, and also accelerate the aging of the rubber. Due to the aging of the sidewall rubber and the cracks and the severe deformation of the sidewall, the carcass layer cords are separated from the rubber. Once the tire encounters a sudden load locally, it is likely to have a puncture.
